Our Kids Early Learning centre was founded by Anita Kumar in 2008 and are known in the community for their commitment to quality ECE. Our Kids combines intimate community relationships, New Zealand’s Te Whāriki curriculum, the principles of Pikler and RIE philosophies, and children’s play urges, to form a progressive solution to learning.

Our main vision is to empower children’s sense of self and foster their ability to direct their own learning in a nurturing environment that is autonomous, open, and child centred.

The outdoor spaces have a strong focus on the natural setting, where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow in an environment that is both engaging and challenging. The inside spaces are thoughtfully organised in a respectful and homely manner, where careful considerations have been given to the aesthetics and natural elements to help instil a sense of belonging.

We believe that a centre’s most important resource is a good team, therefore we do our best to find ways in creating and maintaining a progressive educational culture in a fun, collaborative, and innovative team environment where we all have one common goal – to inspire lifelong learning.

We are always on the look-out for passionate teachers and relievers. If you would like to become part of an enthusiastic and supportive organisation where collaboration is encouraged and learning opportunities are continuous, we want to hear from you.

Whether you are qualified or not, or if you are studying and looking to do training hours please email or forward your CV and covering letter to Anita or Kim, email: office@ourkidsearlylearning.co.nz
