Hi, my name is Michaela and I graduated from AUT with a bachelor of education in 2010.
I love working with children in a mixed age setting and seeing the relationships between children develop. I am passionate about caring for infants and toddlers and supporting their attachment through primary care giving and development through free movement.
Aroha is important to me as a teacher, and I am passionate about supporting the emotional wellbeing and belonging of our Tamariki and their Whanau. Developing strong, trusting relationships with our families is paramount for me as I am passionate about supporting the families in our centre to ensure best outcomes for our children.

Assistant Head Teacher
I graduated from Auckland University with a Bachelor of Education in Primary / Intermediate teaching. I absolutely love working with children of all ages and I believe in exploring and enhancing students’ curiosity and personal interests in safe and creative environments, where all voices, perspectives, interests, and values are acknowledged and celebrated, and where children can safely take risks, make mistakes, and learn from them.
To me, childcare is all about preparing children for encounters when they start school in terms of intrapersonal / interpersonal relationships, enthusiasm and curiosity towards learning. I am creative and have many passions and interests such as sports, social science, music, dance, drama, reading, art and writing. Oh, and I also love to socialise!
